About Tom
My Name is Tom I am 54, and I currently reside in Phoenix Arizona. In my time in the U.S. Navy and my employment since retirement I have traveled to many parts of the Globe. No matter where I have gone the idea of living permanently in the Philippines has been on my mind.
I first traveled to the Philippines in 1983 for a 6 month deployment. I have returned many times since then for various amounts of time. I finally decided a number of years ago that I really did want to retire permanently in the Philippines. I have been making definite preparations a little at a time since then. I hope I will finally be able to make that move within the next 18 months.
I have been thinking for a while about starting a website but I wasn’t quite sure how to go about it. Someone offered to help me so here I am. That’s a decision he might be regretting for a long time. 
I know almost nothing about blogging or setting up websites so he has spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I screwed up now.
I have seen many websites dedicated to life and retirement in the Philippines. There are as many opinions and ideas about how to accomplish this as there are people. I hope with this new web page I can share my ideas with others who are interested in making the same move. Maybe you can give me some ideas I haven’t thought of. Happens all the time.
